Forgot to mention that the majority of the signatures I collected came from Yellowstone Co, but I sent out to 26 other counties before the week was up!

I think the amazing thing to me was how so many people, from so many walks of life SOUGHT us out to sign the petition. People who are against marijuana all together, people who believe there is medicinal benefits, and people who want to legalize it, all agreed that the MM Act is too loosely written and want to repeal it. I heard story after personal story as to why people want to repeal it. I had many high school students come wanting to sign it, but were not registered voters! I wish I had kept seperate sheets just for them! I would be willing to guess that the site I worked turned in 700-1000 signatures collectively. I have NEVER seen a citizens initiative that people SOUGHT our the petition gatherers so that they could sign! That is what is amazing to me. Thanks, Montana, for all of your help! It has been an incredible week!

People have strong feelings one way or the other, often depending on personal experience.

Bottom line is that MMJ is bad for our kids and our community. The youngest card holder in Billings is 2 years old!

After working one of the drive through signature sites all afternoon we must have had what seemed to be 100 people all under 25 drive by and curse, flip us off, and some even displayed firearms. Then was a very inspiring moment when a car filled with young adults not one over 22 stopped and signed the petition. They witnessed some of the others driving by showing their disdain for our efforts. They exclaimed that they hate how so many of their friends think it is so cool to have their MMJ card, but they knew a license for smoking pot was anything but cool. As these tattoo & pierce cladded youth got back in their car I fought tear back feeling hope exists in our youth!
